Antifouling tests in the 2025 season

Preparations for the coming ‘open water’ season are already underway at our Institute for Antifouling and Biocorrosion. From April onwards, we will be happy to immerse your test panels in seawater or freshwater and analyse them for biofouling coverage. We evaluate the fouling using internationally recognised ASTM-methods for which our institute is exclusively DAkkS-accredited. For the classic static panel test in seawater, there are virtually unlimited places, but for other test methods the places are limited and, in some cases, already heavily booked. For the popular dynamic plate test on the test rig RotoMarin®, for example, only 7 out of 60 places are still available. If you are interested in outdoor testing in summer 2025, please contact our colleagues on Norderney in good time, who will send you blank panels for the application of your test products if necessary. The finished coated test panels should then be delivered to Norderney by the beginning of April at the latest. Of course, you are also welcome to come to Norderney during the summer to inspect the test panels in person and discuss the results.
