Like other companies, we were forced to take measures to protect employees and test persons during the peak phase of the Corona pandemic, which resulted in increased personnel and costs, which we unfortunately had to pass on to you.

Of course, as a competent partner in matters of disinfection, we continue to pay increased attention to hygiene. However, the corona measures we have implemented up to now are no longer up to date due to the loosened regulations on the part of the legislator. We are therefore pleased to inform you that from now on we can dispense with the corona surcharges for test persons! So you will receive the usual quality at a lower price!

So if you need a test according to EN 1500, EN 1499, EN 12791 or also ASTM E2755 as well as ASTM E2276, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to advise you!

This year's "Biocides Europe" of Chemical Watch will take place from November 30th, 2022 to December 1st, 2022 in Vienna.

On our Vimeo account you can now find a new video, explaining everything about our biocorrosion division.

We are experts in experiments that use specialized test methods to investigate the biocorrosion of various materials such as concrete and steel. We test sediments to determine the risk of microbially induced corrosion and conduct material tests of concrete compounds in cooperation with the Frauenhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology UMSICHT. The services we offer also include damage clarification to determine whether the corrosion was microbially induced.

Dr. Brill+Partner GmbH is overly excited to participate in the european funded project CRM-geothermal (Raw materials from geothermal fluids: occurrence, enrichment, extraction) and to contribute our expertise to secure the supply of rare raw materials for Europe in a medium to long term perspective.

After the very successful first hybrid edition in 2021, which impressed again with outstanding presentations and attracted more than 100 international participants from 22 countries, we are now inviting you to this year's conference. On October 22nd, the anniversary celebration for the 15th anniversary of the association "tat für tat Malawi e.V." will take place on our company premises in Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel.  You can expect a colorful program with music, food & drink as well as a vernissage with an auction of works of various artists. We are happy to be a member of the Hanse Club now and to support the Handball Sport Verein Hamburg in the coming seasons!

Prof. Dr. med. Ewa Stürmer has won this year's Hygiene Prize of the Rudolf Schülke Foundation with her work "Comparative analysis of biofilm models to determine the efficacy of antimicrobials" (you can find the publication HERE).

The research project was funded by the Initiative Chronische Wunde ICW e.V. and carried out in cooperation with Professor Stürmer in our Hamburg laboratories. This project would thus be awarded the Hygiene Prize of the Rudolf Schülke Foundation.

Part of the project was also to establish a procedure that can be routinely performed in the laboratory. This was also successful. So if you are interested in the novel model, please feel free to contact us.

The online update is a cooperation event with Dr. Brill + Partner, MedWiss4you and HIHeal.

Life Science Nord GmbH coordinates the HIHeal network as the first so-called "Hamburg Cluster Bridge Project", whose funding is provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Another topic area within the project is eHealth, coordinated by Gesundheitswirtschaft Hamburg.

On April 12th, 2022, the German Association of Independent Testing Laboratories (VUP) established the Project Group Efficacy Testing of Antimicrobial Products. Dr. Claudia Hildebrandt, Prof. Dr. Katrin Steinhauer and Dr. Henrik Gabriel were elected to the board. In a keynote speech, we introduced the topic and possible fields of action. Important topics to be worked on in the project group include method development and standardization, knowledge transfer and exchange of experience, accreditation requirements and quality assurance through interlaboratory comparisons and comparative measurements. The project group offers the participants the opportunity to quickly exchange information and data in a dialog. In consultation with all parties, the further procedure is now being concretized. The relevant information for the new project group has been published on the VUP website and member platform MyVUPortal. The presentations and the minutes of the founding meeting will also be made available there shortly.
